Lisa Eldridge’s Luxuriously Lucent Lip Color in Kitten Mischief
Kitten Mischief is described as a caramel pink and on the bullet and from it's swatch I can definitely see the caramel undertones balancing the coral pink. Because my natural lip color already has strong pink undertones, it shows up more rosy than caramel on me. Still, I can see how this would be an easy everyday shade for me.
It's easy to wear and versatile in terms of being able to wear one layer for a wash of color or adding more layers to let more color show through. Even when layering, the lipstick doesn't look overdone or heavy. It has a very light yet buttery texture that feels melty & cushiony and applies beautifully in a single swipe. However it did settle and emphasize my lip lines after a time and so I'd recommend to wear a lip mask the night before or exfoliate. Otherwise it felt moisturizing during wear, giving my lips enough slip.
Because of the balmy formula, it's not a longwear nor transferproof lipstick but reapplication never bothered me. It wore well for around 3 hours before fading.
Note that there's something fragile about Lisa Eldridge lip bullets, both the Velvet Mattes and Lucent Lip Colors. I have had a couple of occasions where the bullet split from its casing due to moving around in my purse or from less than gentle handling.
This is not an uncommon occurance as many have had the same experience. So I'd advise that these are not the types of lipstick that is travel or purse travel friendly. And by all means never leave them (or any lipstick for that matter) in your car- the heat will get to them. I wish they were more sturdy and didn't break as easily especially at the price points they are at, and also to make reapplication easier- but til then- let these sit pretty on your vanity.
