Dream The Palette: If Natasha Denona Released Mini Triochrome Palettes

A fun blog series I named Dream The Palette where I recreate/edit palettes from my favourite brands that I wish existed or wish they’d look like.

Mini Triochrome Palettes?

Starting first with the dreaming up with the Natasha Denona Triochrome minis would look like if she were to launch them. The large palette released earlier this week and it is both a different kind of colour story and pleasing to the eye. However for me personally, I wish- being that it is named Triochrome- that it would include more triochromes in the palette itself. I also wish it had more textures and finishes. Metallics, shimmers, multichromes and mattes- where are you? If I were to fork out $129 for a unique looking palette of the ND kind, I would at least expect more interesting finishes too.

And so, I thought to dream up some Mini Triochrome palettes, and what I’d wish they’d look like if ND were to release some. I sure do hope she does! Looking at her pattern of releasing minis and then large palettes, or large palettes and then minis- it would seem so- especially with these new formula of the multichromes.

Above are the different renditions of what I would envision the Mini Triochrome palettes to be. Natasha Denona does have a system for the new Triochrome palette where she goes by rows, and so for the left column, I’ve simply divided the rows and made them in to minis.

On the right, I exchanged some mattes and colours slightly to make the palettes more interesting. Something I’d reach for myself. They’re only slight differences from the original, but I think it livens up the palette quite a bit- but still keeping the trichrome shade in the center as the star of the show.

How about a Mini Love Palette?

Once I was finished editing possible Mini Triochrome palettes, I had so much fun I went ahead and created two more versions of mini palettes from existing palettes that Natasha Denona already has. The Love Palette is another palette I went back and forth for so long- mostly because I already have so many warm toned palettes and lots of pink and purple shades. It was such a striking palette though, and hopefully maybe this upcoming Valentine’s she’ll launch a mini version!

In my edited Mini Love, I pulled shades straight out of the large palette which makeup the essence of what it is. I of course don’t think this is what Natasha will do, as most often than not, a lot of her minis incorporate new shades in them and only 1 or 2 from her existing, as to not disappoint the customers. However, I would be happy to have the color range I picked for the Mini Love. It will have the beautiful deep cranberry shade, a matte pastel pink, and three of her beautiful metallic and shimmer shadows in purple, pink and gold.

The large palette does have more variations of these shades of course, but I think in essence this would make a nice mini to get the same kind of looks and to complement existing palettes we have in our collection.

And a Mini Biba Palette?

And of course, the ultimate neutral palette of all time: The Biba Palette. I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to add this to cart. Is it because of the size, of the classic shades that I feel I already have plenty of and can create the same kind of looks, is it the pricetag - perhaps it’s the combination of all of them. I much prefer ND’s mini and midi sized palettes and maybe I’m also still waiting if the Biba V2 will come out.

So I went ahead and edited a version of what I would like a possible Mini Biba to look like. We don’t see a lot of it yet on the market, but mixing warm, neutral and cool tones is a thing I love. And to have it all in a 5 pan mini palette would be wonderful! I picked a couple of mattes, and couple of shimmers and a bright metallic for that inner corner shine. Again, I’m guessing many of us already have an array of neutral palettes we can complement this imaginary Mini Biba with nicely.

Thank you for reading my first post on the Dream The Palette series- I look forward to create more and perhaps go a little more in depth for the next ones! But sometimes, it’s nice to just have a light read and look at some interesting visuals.

Hope everyone will have a lovely weekend ahead!
